MORE Help Viewing Chinese:
If you’re using a non-Chinese operating system to view Chinese characters might appear as either gibberish or a bunch of small squares. To view Chinese, software can be downloaded from the following websites to allow non-Chinese operating systems to properly display Chinese characters:
- Twinbridge Software Corporation (http://www.twinbridge.com)
- NJStar Software (http://www.njstar.com)
In addition, for those using Internet Explorer, Language Support Packages can be downloaded from the Microsoft homepage (http://www.microsoft.com) that allow your English (or other language) version of Internet Explorer to view Chinese characters. Simply download the Chinese language support package from the Microsoft website and follow the instructions on the Microsoft homepage for installation. In most cases, Internet Explorer will automatically display the correct Chinese language characters; if the characters do not display correctly, then:
- On the View menu, click Encoding, and then click Auto-Select.
- Click the Refresh button.
